Real Submission
What genres do you accept?
Before answering any questions, I am proud to announce that all submitters will
receive a free subscription to the electronic version of The Real Eight View which
includes one e-mail notification of every online issue published.
What themes do you accept?
Funny you should ask because we were about to tell you. Our emphasis is now on
experimental poetry. However, we also like to read about and publish life experiences
through the themes of resentment, romance, disappointment, spirituality, nature, sarcastic
or ironic comedy or depression - something anyone can relate to.
We began accepting submissions on March 5th, 2004 and do not plan on stopping anytime soon. There
is no specific cut off date for individual issues.
And how shall we submit our Real work?
Wow! You guys sure ask a lot of questions. OK. Submit your Real work as follows:

Poems may be any length with a maximum of one title per submission and no
maximum number so submissions per monthly issue. Submit all you want by using
the Submission Form.

John, what is the meaning of life?
If you don't know that, then we're not going to tell you. We will tell
you this: Submit yourself to The Real Eight View and your meaning may
be clearer to you.
And who owns the rights to the work we submit?
Damn. Here we go with the Real legal stuff. We claim one time rights which mean the rights
revert back to the author. We do reserve the right to publish in print anything that
has appeared on The Real Eight View site at any time, should we in the future establish
ourselves as an in-print magazine.
Just one more thing John, how long do we have to wait for a response?
We will attempt to respond to everyone within four to six weeks. Some may receive one
sooner and some may receive one later. Neither is a reflection on how we view your work.
How much do you pay?
We said no more questions!
How much do you pay?
Fine! We can not, at this time, be considered a member of the paying market but are
currently researching different avenues of generating income in order to pay for your
work in future issues.
